Plants are active living beings. They are having complex interactions with each other and with their environments all the time. They feed the soil life which in return feeds them. They call in reinforcements of predators to help control their herbivore attackers as well as raise the alarm and increase chemical poisons on a communal level to protect themselves. Plants are not as simple as they might seem. They are full of energy actively engaging in their world and form a fundamental role in earth’s ecology. They create food from sunlight and enable us and most of life on earth to survive. Without plants, there would be no us!
